So who is this person?
Alexander Sergeyevich was born in 1799 in Moscow, and died in the well-known duel with Dantes on January 29 (February 10), 1837. He lived a short, inglorious life. He often had nothing to support himself and his family with. There is no exact data, because not all of his works have been preserved, and many have not been published, but from what is known: poems - 14, novels in verses - 1, dramatic works - 6, prose works - 15, fairy tales - 7, verses - 783. Colossal numbers. Pushkin is considered the founder of realism in Russia (the historical drama “Boris Godunov”, the novels “The Captain's Daughter”, “Dubrovsky”, “The Belkin Story”, the novel in poems “Eugene Onegin”).
“Pushkin is our everything,” said the poet Apollo Grigoryev about him. For any occasion in his life he has a work. The poet managed to write about everything, talk about each. Do not forget also that it was he, in the opinion of many writers, who introduced the new image of the “little man”. The first one was Samson Vyrin from the story "Station Warden", then the author reflected on the fate of such people in The Bronze Horseman. Alexander Sergeevich was close to the people. It's no secret that he entered into clandestine societies associated with future Decembrists.
At that time it was fashionable when a wife of a secular man was looked after - this raised the status of her husband. But Pushkin did not like this way. He simply could no longer tolerate the constant notes that Dantes often visited his wife. Alexander Sergeevich challenged him to a duel and lost. On his deathbed, he wrote to Emperor Nicholas I to let him die in peace. “If God does not order us to meet in this world, I am sending you my forgiveness and my last advice to die a Christian. Do not worry about your wife and children, I take them into my own hands, ”was the ruler’s response. Nicholas did not like the poet, but could not resist his greatness. One way or another, the Russian Empire lost that great Creator that day.
