Tales of beautiful princesses imprisoned in a high tower, of evil dragons ready to incinerate everything around them, and of brave knights who dream of saving their beloved were told to everyone in childhood. And we all listened with bated breath, because it was something magical. A particularly popular genre of "bedtime stories" has recently become children's science fiction - works that are ready to be read not only by children and adolescents, but sometimes by their parents. Therefore, we have prepared a list of books, which presents interesting fantastic books that can affect the children's worldview and teach something.

1. Kir Bulychev, "The Adventures of Alice." Everyone probably read, or at least heard of Alice Selezneva, a guest from the future. Unusual adventures of an ordinary “earthly” girl in a space galaxy. What did not meet her on the way. Strange monsters, space pirates, uncharted planets, and, of course, time travel. The author wrote these stories for almost 40 years, from 1965 to 2003. More than one generation grew up on these books, our parents also enjoyed amazing adventures. And there is probably no person who at least once would not envy Alice Selezneva, enjoying the depths of space.
2. Tatyana Levanova, “Drafts”. What would you do if you were told that you are able to move to other worlds? That is what the ordinary schoolgirl Masha Nekrasova was told when she once left home and got lost. But, as it turned out, getting home is not so easy, because now she is a “draft”, which means that in order to return home, she needs to fulfill her mission for which she was sent here.
   However, it is these trips that help the main character to answer various life questions. Books are good in that simple truths are presented here that can help the child understand the world around him and himself.
3. Jenny Nimmo "Charlie Bon." This confrontation has been going on since ancient times, from the era of the Scarlet King, who possessed powerful power. However, like his children. Centuries later, his descendants could not find a common language. This time, their clash will occur within the walls of the Bloomers Academy, designed for "gifted" children. They could not even imagine what their relatives were capable of, and they themselves, in pursuit of a secret hidden under numerous castles. Each time, the heroes find themselves in a new place, in a new country, where an exciting adventure awaits them. Reading books, you can literally immerse yourself in this country, feel it and learn something new.
5. Julia Golding, "Secrets of the sirens." Would you like to be part of a society for the protection of mythical animals? This is a big responsibility, especially when you are among the generalists, like the heroine of the work. Sirens, minotaurs, chimeras, gorgons and other creatures are waiting for you. After reading this series of books, you begin to think, or maybe, indeed, such creatures prosper in the world, they are simply hidden from human eyes. In any case, all animals are unique, you must be able to handle them. Perhaps then we can see other creatures.
6. Philip Pulman, The Golden Compass.It is amazing what can await you at the North Pole if you decide to get there. Witches, armies of monsters, armored bears, all this met on the path of Lira Belakva, who wanted to save her friend. This book has a sequel: “A Wonderful Knife” and “Amber Telescope”. And, strangely enough, physics played a key role here, since the author was able to describe many processes using physical laws, including travel through the worlds.
7. Clive Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia. The amazing world created by the legendary lion Aslan conquers with its expanses and mysteries. A real country where everything is possible, although sometimes it is necessary to fight for your happiness and tranquility.
