(398 words) In our modern world, we often face the problem of violence. Wars, conflicts, family quarrels - all this, unfortunately, has a place to be. And sometimes it is difficult to distinguish where we are faced with anger, and where - with a cruel attitude to a person? Anger can quickly erupt in a person and fade away just as quickly. Cruelty is much more dangerous, because it exists permanently and dooms those to whom it is addressed, to suffering. Consider these concepts on examples from the literature.
In Victor Astafyev’s short story “Lyudochka,” we see the fate of a village girl who went to the city to try her luck. At first everything went well, and Lyudochka even managed to get a job. But soon a misfortune happened - the bandit Strekach returned from prison, who raped the unfortunate girl. Having experienced a terrible shock, she seeks solace both from the landlady, and in her native village, from her mother, but does not find him, because women believe that "all the women should go through this ... inevitability ...". Local hooligans no longer lagged behind the victim, and, having not found understanding in her home, the heroine commits suicide, and only after the girl’s death, Strekach gets from the victim’s stepfather. The destiny of the poor thing touches to the depths of her soul and allows us to understand that not only local criminals, but also people close to her treated her very cruelly. Cruelty is not a flash of anger, but a long terrible attitude towards a person.
But anger arises under the influence of external circumstances, this is an irritating reaction to something. Recall the play by Alexander Vampilov, “Duck Hunt”. In it we meet Viktor Zilov, whose life, as it turns out in the reading process, is entirely woven out of deception. His own friends encroach on the hero’s apartment and motor boat, just waiting for the right moment to take advantage of his friend’s property. This state of affairs could not but anger Zilov. No wonder he screams with anger: “I am still alive, and you are already here? Already flocked? Your own little? Not enough places on earth for you? .. Little crooks! ” Of course, we understand that such behavior of others in relation to Victor is unlawful, and aggression by the hero is a natural reaction to the commercialism and hypocrisy of others. But it is not long, because in it a person just splashes out the accumulated resentment.
Thus, anger is a flash of anger in which a person puts all his irritation, but then discharges and returns to normal. But cruelty is a conscious line of a person’s behavior, her attitude to the world. However, the anger originating inside a person can accumulate and eventually develop into a cruel attitude towards people. Therefore, it is so important to find an internal balance between good and evil and with all forces to restrain oneself from entering into conflict.
