(366 words) In the philosophical, historical epic novel L.N. Tolstoy's “War and Peace” depicts 559 images. Each differs from the other in its special feature and is depicted as realistically as possible. The writer, thanks to the sharpness and clarity of the language, masterfully created a gallery of human types. So, the family philosophy of the Bolkonsky and Rostovs is equally close to Leo Tolstoy, despite his dissimilarity. They are different not only in nobility, but also in worldview, customs and traditions.
The Rostov family is endowed with very bright qualities: kindness, generosity, simplicity. They are alien to rationality, rigor, intelligence and pedantry. The reader sees the picture literally from ideal sides. Family members are ready at any time to come to each other or strangers to help. Here they managed to find their shelter Sonia, the count's niece, and, a distant relative, Drubetskoy. The house always welcomes new guests with great joy, it is always filled with love and understanding:
“... She and the entire Rostov family received Prince Andrei as an old friend, simply and cordially. The whole family <...> now seemed to him composed of beautiful, simple and kind people. The hospitality and good nature of the old count ... ".
All the emotional behavior of the parents was able to adopt for themselves children. Between them can be spiritual conversations that lasted for hours. The proximity of the inner world and tenderness saturated their dependence on each other. Therefore, there are no secrets between Natasha, Nikolai and Sonya, they see no reason why they should hide something from loved ones.
The Bolkonskys are an example of true aristocratic traditions. Despite honest love for each other, restraint rules here:
"... The old prince knew very well that he was tormenting his daughter, that her life was very difficult ...".
Education does not allow feelings of experience, sadness. It’s not customary to complain about life. Unshakable strict order is observed by all family members:
“The order in his lifestyle was brought to the last degree of accuracy. His exits to the table were made under the same unchanged conditions, and not only at the same hour, but also a minute ... ”
In the novel, the Bolkonsky represent the true features of the nobility, which were the basis of the state and could give their lives to serve the motherland. Each family member is endowed with its own unique character traits. But there is something in common that unites them. This family is characterized by pride in a surname, sincerity, a high mental level.
Passing the heroes through the prism of trials, the author checks the strength of family relationships. In the ideological content of the work, a special role is played by the chapters, which describe the internal structure of each of the families, which directly helps Tolstoy to show the reader “family thought”.
